Public information about bowel cancer screening is available on the NHS website. Members of the public can call the free bowel cancer screening helpline on 0800 707 60 60. Public Health England (PHE) is committed to reducing inequalities and variation in participation to help make sure everyone has fair and equal access to screening services. PHE has also published information about patient confidentiality in population screening programmes. Target population Bowel cancer screening is offered every 2 years to men and women aged 60 to 74.
